Questions and Answers - The Wedding Flower process

About the Wedding Flower design process

Wedding floral design is a fluid process. Your initial vision and elements may change a little or significantly over the planning duration. We love that! We work with our clients during the planning process to wiggle your vision into shape so you are thrilled on your wedding day. Because we know every bride and groom has a unique style and vision, all of our wedding floral quotes are customized just for you. We don’t offer packages or pre-selected elements that you’d typically wish to personalize.

Where do I start?

The best way to start is by completing our wedding flower questionnaire HERE (click link). Here you can provide all the details of your wedding day, include photos or links, and describe your style, color palette and the elements you are looking for. From there, we can create a custom quote for you. But that’s just the beginning. After you review the quote, you can provide us feedback, changes, tweaks etc and we will update your quote until you are happy with it. Even after booking our services, you can continue to make changes throughout the duration, up until about 10 days before your wedding date. No pressure to make final decisions way in advance of your big day :-)

What if I want to meet in person?

Sure! We’d love to meet you! Petal Town Flowers works from a design studio. For that reason, we typically meet our clients in a local coffee shop or location that is convenient for you. We can also do a Site visit to help design your perfect day.

The booking process?

In order to secure your date on our calendar, we require a 25% non refundable deposit if your wedding is more than one month away. (for quick turn-around, the payment process is more accelerated). We accept credit cards, Venmo, or you could send us a check. After you book, you can still make any changes you need, and your balance will be adjusted accordingly. Your final changes need to be reflected about 10 days before your date, and your final balance will be due one week before your event.

Why is my deposit non-refundable?

Our deposits are non-refundable because we spend a lot of time planning, researching and putting together quotes that are comprehensive and competitive. Rather than just throwing out a number to our clients, we provide a detailed itemized (with photos) accounting of what your wedding flowers will look like, and what they will cost. Typically there are several versions that go back and forth as we determine style and budget.  These steps take time to get it right.    In addition, your deposit ensures your wedding date is booked on our calendar, which means we may be declining other clients.
